JK Reports Rismon to Police

BERITA SOLO | JAKARTA — If all goes well, former two-term Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla will report Rismon Sianipar to the police today regarding allegations that he funded Roy Suryo and several other parties to question Jokowi's diploma.

"God willing, tomorrow, Monday (April 6th), the lawyers present here will represent me in reporting Rismon to the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) to seek the truth," said JK at his residence on Sunday (April 5th).

According to JK, the accusations made by Rismon are completely untrue. He confirmed that he was never involved in or supported any effort to question the authenticity of Jokowi's diploma.

"What was said is not true. I was never involved in this matter and never helped in any way," he told the media.

JK denied ever meeting with Roy Suryo or other parties to discuss the controversy surrounding Jokowi's diploma.

"If we did meet, where and when?" he concluded.

JK also stated that the meeting that took place at his residence last Ramadan was not related to the issue of Jokowi's diploma.

"The guests came on their own initiative to share their views and input regarding the government's policies at that time," he explained.

"They came on their own to convey their aspirations and suggestions. That's all," he added.

Previously, allegations circulated widely on various digital platforms alleging that JK had provided Rp 5 billion in funding related to the issue.

Jusuf Kalla confirmed that the information regarding this funding was completely false and slanderous. (Sri Lestari)
