BERITASOLO ■ As many as 34 students and religious teachers from Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor (PMDG) Ponorogo were declared healed.
At present there are still nine students who are still undergoing isolation at the Surabaya Indrapura Field Hospital and the Hospital in Ngawi. They have not been declared cured of Covid-19.
The Regent of Ponorogo, Ipong Muchlissoni said that the total positive confirmation cases of Covid-19 at Pondok Gontor 2 on Sunday (7/19/2020) there were 43 people. Of the 43 cases, there have been 34 students and religious instructor Pondok Gontor 2 who were declared cured.
In the last two days, 24 patients from the Pondok Gontor 2 cluster recovered. Eleven patients were cured on Saturday (7/18/2020) and 13 patients from the Pondok Gontor 2 cluster were declared cured on Sunday (7/19/2020).
"There are 13 students of Pondok Gontor who were declared cured after the PCR test results were negative. They have returned to Pondok Gontor," Ipong said.
The Regent hopes that the eight Islamic boarding school students who are still being treated at Indrapura Hospital can recover soon.
While one Pondok Gontor 2 student who is still being treated at a hospital in Ngawi is also expected to get well soon. In addition, he hopes that there will be no more cases from Pondok Gontor 2.

Previously, Pondok Gontor Co-19 Handling Task Force Spokesperson, Adib Fuadi Nuriz, said on Sunday there were 13 Pondok Gontor students who were declared cured and were able to return, so that the total number of santri and religious teachers declared healed there were 34 people.
"The Task Force continues to be optimistic in overcoming the case of the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak in Pondok Gontor 2 and continues to carry out prevention and control according to the Task Force SOP. We also continue to socialize the implementation of health protocols in all Pondok Gontor campuses," he said in his written statement.
