    Women Bring Dogs to Official Mosque Detained

    BERITA SOLO - Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Unit investigators finally arrested a female  ( SM, 52 years) for entering the Al-Munawarah mosque, Sentul, Bogor Regency with a dog.

    The SM suspect is subject to article 156 a of the Criminal Code and at this time the suspect was detained by being first examined at the Indonesian Police Hospital, Jakarta.

    Bogor Police Commissioner AKP Ita Puspita Lena told reporters on Tuesday (02/07/2019) in Cibinong, said that after 1x24 hours the case of women carrying dogs in Sentul, the Bogor Police Resort Satreskrim investigator arrested the perpetrator.

    Based on the evidence of some testimonies of 5 witnesses, as well as evidence in the form of video recordings, clothing and shoes used by SM when entered the mosque, the investigator increased the status of the investigation and raised the status of SM to become a suspect.

    "The official SM was arrested as the status of a suspect under article 156 a of the Criminal Code regarding blasphemy and blasphemy," Ita Puspita Lena told reporters today.

    By increasing the case to the investigation, the investigator will send a Notice of Investigation (SPDP) to the Cibinong District Attorney on Tuesday (07/02/2019).

    Ita Puspita Lena explained that the SM suspect was charged with detention. Due to information from the suspect's family that SM had a psychiatric disorder.

    The suspect is currently being observed regarding psychiatric problems by psychologists to ascertain whether the suspect is truly mentally disturbed.

    "Our suspects check their health at the National Police Hospital with the guarding of Polri members and for handling cases to continue," explained Ita Puspita Lena.

    In accordance with Article 156 of the Criminal Code it reads "whosoever in public declares feelings of hostility, hatred or humiliation of one or several groups of people of Indonesia, is threatened with a criminal prison for a maximum of four years in prison or a maximum fine of IDR 4,500,"

    As reported, on Sunday (6/30/2019) at around 14.00 WIB at Al Munawaroh Sentul Mosque, Babakan Madang Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, a woman with the initials SM, the address of Sentul Bogor, was secured.
