Iran Strikes Israeli ELTA Radar Facility in Haifa, Drones Hit Ben Gurion Airport

BERITA SOLO | TEHERAN — A drone attack reportedly hit Israel's strategic radar and electronics center in Haifa and a fuel facility at Ben Gurion Airport. Iran claims the attack directly impacted Israel's air defense capabilities, including missile and drone interception systems.

The Iranian military announced it had launched drone attacks against several strategic Israeli targets, including an electronic warfare and radar center in Haifa.

In an official statement, Iran stated that the targeted facilities were part of Israel's aerospace group, including the ELTA technology center, known as a key pillar of the country's electronic defense system.

"Since early this morning, the ELTA strategic radar and electronic warfare center have been the target of our attacks," said an Iranian military statement on Sunday (March 29).

In addition, Iran also claimed to have attacked a fuel storage facility at Ben Gurion Airport, considered a key logistics hub for Israeli air operations.

According to Iran, ELTA is a defense industry that produces various advanced systems, ranging from phased array radars and early warning systems to satellite monitoring technology.

Tehran believes the attack significantly impacted Israel's ability to detect and intercept missile and drone attacks.

Iran also stated that disruption to the fuel facility at Ben Gurion Airport could impact Israeli military aviation operations, particularly in supporting air operations in the region.

Tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel have escalated in recent times.

The situation escalated following a massive attack, which Iran described as unprovoked, targeting its territory and causing casualties and infrastructure damage.

In response, Iran launched a series of retaliatory attacks using missiles and drones targeting various strategic positions in Israel and military bases in the region. (Tasnim)
