BERITASOLO ■ North Jakarta Community Leader Sandi Suryadinata rejected the reclamation project to expand Ancol Dreamland Park.
The expansion of the 155-hectare Ancol Dreamland Park tourist area in accordance with the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta in 2020, Sandi said that his party supported Anies Baswedan as the governor of DKI because of his political promises in 2017 when the Election Campaign, among others, rejected the reclamation of the Jakarta Bay.
With the hope that there is no reclamation, then his party with all his personal strength and money conducted a campaign to win Anies without asking from the campaign team.
Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan issued a permit to develop a recreation area for PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, Tbk with a total area of 155 hectares.
Permit in the form of a Decree (SK) of the Governor of DKI Jakarta concerning permission to expand the fantasy world recreation area covering an area of 35 hectares and the expansion of the Taman Impian Jaya Timur Ancol area of 120 hectares, dated February 24, 2020.
DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary Saefullah said that the permit to expand Taman Impian Jaya Ancol land was intended to accommodate public interests such as community recreation areas.
"The Ancol land expansion is a place for community recreation. So we prioritize the public interest," Saefullah said.
